Ebbets Field Flannels Charlotte Hornets 1956 Home Jersey

History:  Representing Charlotte, North Carolina, in the South Atlantic League, the Hornets were a Class A affiliate of the Washington Senators, and in finished second in the league in ‘56 behind the Jacksonville Braves. Most notably, the ‘56 Hornets featured a 20-year-old star named Harmon Killebrew, who anchored the lineup that summer with a.325 batting average and 15 home runs. Killebrew would later go on to a Hall of Fame career with the Minnesota Twins.

History: The TCU Horned Frogs broke two all-time records during the 1963 baseball season. One was winning sixteen straight home games and the other was finishing with a 21-4 record which topped that of the two former Frog Southwest Conference Championship teams of 1933 and 1956. Despite having their best record ever, they ended in a tie for 1st place with the Texas Longhorns.
